It may not look like it but this is Los Angeles on one of those rare occasions where it actually rained.
The slightly colder weekend called for an extended length of my usuals - a crop top & a skirt.
Picked up this cool wrap skirt at Crossroads. I couldn't resist once I saw the buckle details and my favorite, the deer.

You can see the gradual sunset throughout the photos and we tried to quickly squeeze a bunch of photos in before complete darkness. I know I'm still sporting summer florals but it's summer year round in Los Angeles. Sometimes I wish it was colder so I can layer up in cute coats and scarves but for now it'll be cut outs dresses and sunnies. It's essential to stock up on sunglasses living on the west coast, especially go to ones you can pair anything with. I also love whimsical, one of a kinds like the Cross My Heart sunnies c/o Zero UV. The retro round shape and cheeky words around the frames are so fun to wear.

I'm wearing a Lucca Couture dress I found at Crossroads. I called it the magic eye dress because the tight knit patterns and colors look like those magic eye diagrams I was never able to figure out and probably never will.

Best Coast

( Crimson and Kali Dress via Crossroads Trading, Flea Market Floral Crown, Vintage Boots )
Can't help but always go back to my boho roots. With lace trims and a wispy form to adapt to any summer breeze, this is the dress of Californian dreams. Who knew that a dress like this would be waiting for me at Crossroads Trading?
Also just wanted to note it's definitely possible to construct a decent outfit from thrifted finds.
Trying to soak up all the sun I can get since I'll be leaving for New York Fashion Week next week.
Let me know if any of you will be attending! I would love to meet up :)

Cotton Candy Dipped

( Thrifted tank, BDG dip dye high waisted cutoffs, H&M men's cardigan,
Vintage Coach satchel, To Be Announced Boots)

I have a terrible habit of sticking with neutral colors so wearing brightly colored dip dyed shorts reminiscent of cotton candy definitely felt unusual, yet refreshing. The transition to Fall means I can finally bundle up in cardigans and I like mine oversized - which is why I opted to choose mine at the men's section at H&M. As you can probably tell, I'm still fixated on these boots and what better way than to dress up the basics?
